Once Shani gives you Waking the Grid after Dust on the Wires, you'll notice it's a pretty forgiving mission compared with some of the others. There's no awkward quest package to babysit, no need to limp to extraction hoping nobody notices you've got something valuable. That alone makes it a great run if you're low on gear or just want to keep things cheap with a light setup and maybe save your ARC Raiders Coins for something that matters more. I still wouldn't go in empty-handed, though. A basic weapon is enough. The route is simple, but Spaceport rarely stays quiet for long, and random enemies have a way of showing up at the worst possible moment.

Your first objective is to reactivate the old sensor network, and the easiest place to do that is the guard tower east of Fuel Lines. If you've wandered that side of the map before, you'll probably recognise it straight away. Get inside, find the zipline, and ride it up. Don't overthink it. At the top, there's a terminal in the control room that handles the first part of the job. Interact with it, wait for the update, and you're done there. This step is usually quick unless another player has the same idea, so it's worth moving fast and not hanging around the windows longer than you need to.

After that, head north to the Departure Building. The southwest entrance tends to be the cleanest way in, and once you're through the doors, the path is fairly easy to follow. You'll pass a long desk in the lobby, then take a left, and another left into a side hall. That's where the Security Control Center console is sitting. It gives itself away with red lights, so even if visibility's rough, you should spot it without much trouble. Hit the terminal and the mission moves along straight away. A lot of players get nervous in this section because the building feels exposed, but honestly, if you keep moving and don't stop to loot every corner, it's over in seconds.

The last step sends you northwest to the Arrival Building. It looks huge at first, but the objective is more direct than people expect. Go in through the main entrance, turn left at the front desk, then check on your right for the Data Office door. You'll need to breach it, so be ready for the noise. Inside, head to the back-left side of the room where the computer cluster is stacked together. That's where the prompt to cut the wires appears. Once you do that, the whole investigation wraps up and the grid restoration is complete. No item to carry, no extra chore. Just survive the walk out.

That's really why Waking the Grid stands out. It's low stress, the objectives are spread out in a way that keeps the raid moving, and you don't leave with that awful feeling that one bad fight will ruin the whole thing. You can extract from whichever point is closest, head back to Speranza, and cash in with Shani for rewards that are actually useful, not filler. Vita Shots, Surge Shield Rechargers, and the Tactical MK.3 Revival augment all make future raids easier, especially if you've been burning through supplies. For a mission this manageable, that payout feels great, and if you're trying to progress without overspending on gear or chasing cheap ARC Raiders Coins every time you load in, this is one of the better runs to keep in rotation.
